DAF Analytics Dashboard

What?

This is a project made for the DAF Trucks factory in Geel, Belgium. The goal of the project was to create a dashboard that gives insights into the performance of DAF's trucks production process. The project involved building an ETL flow to extract data from different Excel files, transform it, and load it into a dashboard. The ETL script as well as the dashboard was built using Qlik Sense analytics software, which allows users to explore the data and gain insights into the production process.

How?

First, I analysed the data and the requirements of the dashboard by talking to the stakeholders and exploring the data. After, that I designed a star schema that is optimized for analysis and created the necessary transformations to convert the raw data into the star schema.

Once the data was transformed, I built the dashboard in Qlik Sense, which involved creating visualizations and setting up the necessary interactions to allow users to explore the data.

Conclusion

The DAF Analytics Dashboard project was a great opportunity to apply my data engineering and analytics skills to a real-world problem. It allowed me to gain experience with Qlik Sense and to learn how to design and implement an ETL flow and a dashboard that meets the needs of stakeholders. Overall, it was a rewarding project that provided valuable insights into the performance of DAF's trucks production process.
